Early Years in Construction

Chris King grew up in Flat Rock, Michigan, and started his construction career shortly after completing his studies in electrical engineering at Monroe Community College. He worked hands-on with a local construction company, learning the trades and refining his attention to detail. By 2010, Chris launched Five Star Professional Contractors, determined to provide a level of craftsmanship homeowners could trust.

Leadership in Property Management

Chris’s career quickly expanded beyond the job site. He moved into property maintenance, earned promotions, and soon managed nearly 1,000 apartment homes across four communities in Southeast Michigan. Because owners relied on his expertise, Chris helped evaluate and acquire multimillion-dollar properties, improved occupancy rates, and supported portfolio growth while keeping properties in excellent condition.

Although property management brought stability, Five Star Professional Contractors was where his passion remained. Returning to the company full-time allowed him to combine construction expertise with leadership and business insight. Today, he leads with a customer-first approach and ensures that every project reflects Five Star’s core values: reliability, precision, and pride in craftsmanship.
